 Ernest W. Sturges, Jr.
Mr. Sturges, a Shareholder in the firm, concentrates his practice in the areas of Condominium/Community Associations, Real Estate, and Business/Corporations. Mr. Sturges was born in Stamford, Connecticut, but was raised in Charlotte County, Florida. He graduated from Port Charlotte High School in 1988, and proceeded to Florida State University where he obtained Bachelors degrees in both Political Science and Criminology. Mr. Sturges then attended law school at the University of Florida, where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree.
Mr. Sturges holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the leading nationwide legal directory for ranking the abilities of all attorneys and law firms throughout the United States. His AV rating, based on the confidential opinions of other local attorneys and local judges who are best suited to assess Mr. Sturges' legal abilities, signifies the highest rating awarded by Martindale-Hubbell both in terms of legal ability and ethics. The Martindale-Hubbell legal directory is commonly referred to as “the Yellow Pages for attorneys”, and its attorney ratings have been relied upon for over a century by attorneys and judges alike.
Affiliations and Community Involvement
Mr. Sturges is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He currently is a member of the Florida Bar and Charlotte County Bar Association. Mr. Sturges makes a concerted effort to give back to the community in which he was raised. Mr. Sturges began his legal career as a prosecutor for the 20th Judicial Circuit, served on the Domestic Abuse Shelter Homes’ Board of Directors from 2002-2003, and since 2003 has served on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross. Mr. Sturges currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, Charlotte County Chapter. Mr. Sturges also serves as the Chairman of the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union Charlotte County Advisory

Mr. Sturges and his wife have been happily married since 2000 and are the proud parents of two young daughters. |
